It’s been a while since I written something here. Between school, work and life in general, I just hadn’t really been able to collect my thoughts and sit down to type.
So, good news. I officially accepted Queens’ offer so I’m starting the MFA program in May 🙂 I was waitlisted at Hollins (and to be honest, after the way I was treated by their Graduate Program, I’m not impressed with their lack of communication nor do I want to attend their school anymore) and I was rejected from Warren Wilson, so it made my decision a bit easier. I’m super happy with my choice though. Queens is a great school, and not terribly far from home so I don’t have to worry about travel expenses being terribly draining on my wallet.
So yeah, grad school. It’s exciting and I’m glad I’m done with the process: no more stress, no more waiting. Now I just have to survive the last few weeks of undergrad. I have a few more papers to write, my senior presentations are at the end of this month and of course, actually start my grad work as an undergrad. Crazy, huh?
On the other hand, life hasn’t been great to me lately, but at least I’m proud of myself for making it this far without too many problems weighing me down. And I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life.
